Work is really exhausting this month. It was so tight-up that I didn't have the mood to plan for a party nor celebration for 21st. In which it was once something that I wanna do, like a every girl's dream-come-true to have a extraordinary big birthday party where you invite all your friends and family members and receive many many gifts. But suddenly it all doesn't seems to be in the picture of what I wanted for my 21st.

And I think the facebook reminder of birthdays are dumb (my personal opinion, no offence). Because people start sending their wishes and regards because "facebook says so". -.- Anyway, no "Happy Birthday" from you doesn't means you are not a good friend to me though, and I am not much affected by it. However, I really enjoyed receiving wishes from whom really keep the date and whom got it second-hand from fb. It still makes me smile as I know these are the people whom send their wishes from their heart and not mind..

Happy 21st Birthday to myself and a "patpat" for the 2 more weeks to come. I wish my birthdays every year will fall on a Full Moon; because it felt so good to walk home with the moon above me. all the workload seems to disappear for that moment, everything was just so nice! (:

Just had a nice chat with my best friend over here! There's nothing I can hide from her; she can give advice to everything i shared- not only to me, but my friends too. haha.

She has her trust and faith in me; so much that I think there's no second person that can do likewise. Although sometimes her love and care are converted into long chants of 'nagoloy', i still love her. We may have arguements and got mad over some issues, but by the next daybreak we will be back as good as before.

Should I look forward to next week, or should I wish it will come later so I can better prepare myself?

i just love talking to kuk, though we may just be talking nonsense, but sometimes, somewhere in myself will just feel so much better. I guess because kuk gave me a sense of security that YOU will be there for me, always. One may be too busy to be there for you at times, but you will know there is still another one you can look for. 1. Don't major in a course for the seek of getting a degree, think carefully of what you want to do in future; it's never too late to study nor is there a age limit to learn.

2. Don't trap in the routine of a common Singaporean life, lead a different life within it.

Frankly speaking, I'm still caught in the middle. But still, thank you once again, for the meal and the advice.

when can we have trips like these again?

this trip had been different from all the previous ones. it was indeed an eye-opener, I saw the world from a different aspect. did lots of thinking, pondering on what I really want, what to hold on to, and what to let go. Though the long bumpy bus rides was unbearable torturing, it gave me plenty of time to come to a conclusion and drew out a checklist on what I want to achieve..

in a week's time, many things will change..

before that I was in India, now Singapore.

before that I was a fresh graduate, next an employee

start my practical lesson

continue my healthy lifestyle

shall not dwell on the past, not look at what others are doing; but make plans and move on..

Great things in India:
1. Country insect: houseflies
2. Safest transportation: auto-rickshaw. able to accommodate up to 7 pax per vehicle, speedometer that reads zero at all times, rear mirror is facing inwards, horn after you cut lanes, manual window wiper (using hands). no need to follow traffic rules: travel at opposite carriageway of the road, turn on red light, accelerate when pedestrian is crossing the road.
3. Dusty town with cow dung almost everywhere; there's no difference whether you're wearing shoe or a set of new clothings, because the moment you step out of your room, you will soon feel a layer of dust and dirt on your face.
4. Order food when you are not hungry, because by the time the dishes are ready, your stomach will be growling. best activities after ordering your food: shop around the district and come back later or have a round of monopoly.
5. 16 hours long of bumpy ride on an non-a/c bus that is packed with passengers. you wanted the bus to stop because you have motion-sickness, yet you cant wait for it to start to move before the swarm of houseflies come.
6. Riding scooter along their hectic road under the unpredictable weather. the best thing is when you meet a con-man TPp who tried to give you a fine for not bringing out your license. (to be frank, not everyone of us owns one though. haha)
7. Taj Mahal is over-rated. everyone in that attraction is doing the same pose for the camera. (2 person standing a arm-length apart, bending side-way to your partner with your fingertips touching)
8. Ganges River the holy water: it heals your insect bites, you can bathe with it, pee in it, holy area for you to throw dead bodies, wash your laundry, best souvenir to bring back to your country.
9. Believe it or not, I see snow in India!

Mysore via Bangalore - Mysore Palace, Red Fort, Chamudi Hill: their monkeys are power, they snatch lighter and hit people.
Bangalore - Nandi Hill
Goa - Anjuna Beach, Mapusa, Panaji, Old Goa. Slice became our favourite drink.
New Delhi - Connaught Place, Korean Girls, Henna
Agra - Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, souvenir-trading with the locals.
Rishikesh - Ganges River
Kullu Manali - Rohtang Pass (13,000 ft) , Himalayas: thrilling jeep ride up the mountain, horse-riding, snow sliding, the night they goes 'shanti shanti' and was high on sucrose, comparing who's the pussy and stupid. I will rate this as the best destination in this trip, a "plastic-bag-free" town with scenic views.
Chennai via Delhi - watched Salt, Marina Beach.

Singaporean kids are living a life way much better than many others. At the age of 11, you received a new PSP from your dad, children in India are selling souvenirs to tourists on the streets to earn a living; get some money for his family.

Yet, this simple way of life give then happiness; you can easily get a glimpse of their bright smile. Two old keychains could be the best gifts they ever receive. People here seems to have less motives, and little politics.

Comparing to the simple life that they lead in India, though I envy they way they passes each day with no stress, living everyday like yesterday; I chose to live the life I'm in now. I rather be able to learn, see and experience new things, study and work with stress, than to being each day worrying if there's enough food for my family.

I empathy women in India. They have low status compared to males; when asked 'what is your sister's name?' we were told, my sister have got no name. Once your husband dies, you're nothing. Yet, you still got to raise up your children all by yourself.

This trip to India open up my mind, I see a new part of the world, learn to cherish and appreciate the things I have. It makes me wonder, is it fair?

idkw, but blogger.com seems to have changed their posting system. i can't change the font, colours nor even post up pictures?! anw, i just realised Singapore is seriously lagging back. esp the movies! watched "Fighting" with Colin yes! again! i watched it in Orlando like.. 3 months ago? in the late april. there's still many other movies like "The Last House on the Left", "Hangover", "Up" was screened in the States longgg time ago, while Singapore only has it now la! but nvm, i don't mind watching it again, cause the guy is HOT. colin, stop grinning. i mean Channing Tatum. haha.

have been meeting up my friends these few days to have some catch up sessions. and i realised there are like really manyyyy things that i've missed out during these 4 months. well, it feels so right to be back in Singapore, meeting up all your friends you used to hangout together!

Orlando mates are GREATTT too ok! really cherished the bond all of us have all these while and i would like to keep this going on and on and.. even when school reopens, and where we are in different classes. you still gotta hangout and have our supper sessions just like how we did in Orlando and right now ok!

P.S Tannya, you are one of the TOP TEN sociable person i ever met. you just seems to be able to clique with everyone! your presence never fails to brings up a smile in others, with you around makes the trips so wonderful and memorable. likewise, i can't really imagine how these 4 months will be like too without you. well actually this applies to every single one in Orlando. if time were to turn back, i will hope that we will still be the one doing this OSIP together! cheers mate! Alright, i've finally got time for update. it's been so long and so fast, 3 months have almost past. i'm starting to miss.. starting to miss Orlando. so kinda used to live in here. staying with Ong and Ang. used to working at Universal, working with nice colleagues like Andrea, Aleja, Natassha, Kurt, Seif, Nick, Chad? hahas. ANDREA DONT LAUGH! i know you will laugh when you sees his name right!

i love the daily routin of walking through that gap at the back gate to that unsheltered bus stop, where we gotta stand in the rain or under that sorching sun. i'm beginning to like taking the 30 minutes interval lynx 21 to work, bringing my own lunch, eating home even if it's alone. sleeping on 2 single beds with shamu! gwen, my shamu is sleeping on your bed now. hahas. no doubt, there's moody days at work, like working with some people.. (andrea, you should know who.. hahas.), meeting some nasty guests, but still i like to feeling of living here.

last but not least, this is a shopping paradise! been spending money like there's no tomorrow. i even psycho-ed people to spend money too! no.1 victim is Andrea. this stupid guy went to Florida Mall, JC Penny and told me there's nothing there. but in fact, William and him haven really step into Florida Mall. so i brought him there the other day. forgotten how much i spent and what i've bought. but i remembered clearly, hyper guy Andrea spent $100 at Old Navy, he bought everything in pairs! 2, shirts, 2 pants and 2 jackets.

no. 2 victim is William. shopped with him at Florida Mall followed by online shopping once we reached twelve oaks. showed him some websites with nice clothing that are AFFORDABLE and have NICE DESIGNS, yet he accused me of being a BAD GIRL, cause he cant resist the temptation to buy all the nice tops we saw. WTH! (hey, asian! next time i'm not gonna show you websites already. lols)

no.3 victim- Rayner! Florida Mall AGAIN yesterday! but this time with Rayner. this crazy guy buy anything and everything. brought him to abercrombie and he spent like 60+?! in total he spent like US$100 and me? 70+. hehe. no.4 victim.. i think it will be my boyfriend. (you know who you are, hahas.)

favourite shops in Orlando: Forever 21! (it's fucking BIG! compared to the one at Vivo City in Singapore, Prime Outlet one owns bigtime!), Victoria's Secret, Urban Outfitters, Coach, Abercrombie, Anchorblue, Wet Seal, and many more..

13th May- Tiki Island Volcano Golf. We split into Onglai's team and William's team to compete our adventure of mini golf match, where the noobs became tycos and pros are losers! Jamie owns one of the hole in one!! ended the game 1 at 11pm, will continue our competition of the other side of the Tiki Island someday soon..

14th May- Magic Kingdom, Disneyland; favourite attraction of every kids' childhood dream. this is where every single girl in the family turns into a princess of her castle. if it wasnt raining that day, if the other in the cliques were there, it would have been more enjoyable. the rides there are interesting, some are really fun but i guess most of them are just too kiddy. will visit the other 3 parks soon..

20th May- Sushilogy, followed by tour at Downtown Disney Marketplace. had cravings for some Asian food, so Aleja bought Andrea, Xaiver and I to Sushilogy. their fried cheesecake is simply delicious! but.. i still prefer Sushi Tei's sushi, theis presentation of the food is just so great that it seems so tasty before you even have it in your mouth! Cam-whored non-stop at Downtown Disney. visited shops and shops, followed by some resorts hopping. sort of an educational tour to see the resorts in Disneyland. we could actually remember some things that are related to ROM, like their amenties, resort themes, etc.

27th May- Sea World, Cici's Pizza, continue the resorts hopping, this time with Fang joining us! main objective of visitong Sea World again- MANTA, the ray's coaster. rocks man! we were like lying down and flying around like Superman, ok, maybe not. it's suppose to feel as though we are flying around like a ray. Andrea was screaming non-stop throughout the whole ride! hahas. Cici's Pizza buffet! not very WOW! i'm not that into buffet, but its a good place to dine in though. resorts hopping = cam-whore again!

night time was clubbing at Pulse, a gay club.YES! GAY! clubs in Orlando and Singapore are not much different, it's the people there that hype up the atmosphere better. you see male and female, and also MALE and MALE grinding, making-out, etc..seriously a big eye opener.

28th May- Clearwater Beach! Arby's Apple turnover is the ownage! rented a car and had a 2-hour drive to the beach with EXTREMELY fine sand, nice weather, beauuutiful scenery and not forgetting, excellent companion. volleyball-ed, tanning, sand massage by Andrea and pictures time with the breath-taking back drop of sun setting behind us into the clear sea. bathed in public, because there's no shower room! we could only rinse off those sand from our body. dinner at Smoky Bones, Baby Pork Ribs. 3.5/5 rating.

these recent outings make me feel as though i'm back in Singapore; shopping, clubbing, volleyball...

Ripley's Believe It or Not ; Wonder Works on Wednesday!

Ripley's: the world of amazing things like, tallest man on earth, largest hand, pigs with 2 body, cow with 2 heads and many more things. the last part was best! it's like you walk through a straight tunnel where the surrounding is spinning non-stop. it feels as though you're falling but actually it's just the moving background. super dizzy!

Wonder Works: showcases the magnitude of earthquakes and strength of hurricane. played mind games, stimulator ride. visited the space!

left workplace earlier today and hit Blue Man Group with Stephy. it's A-W-E-S-O-M-E! halfway through the show there was late arrivals. they paused the whole show played a soundtrack that goes "you're late, you're late..", shined lights on them till the ushers lead them to their seats. totally embarrassing! they really rocked the whole threatre, their team mates got fabulous coordination, creating great rock music!

Mall at Millenium was great! another paradise. but the shops are of the higher-ends, like Paragon. bought a dress and Victoria Secret's lotion! hehe. i'm gonna go there shop again!

the tastiest and most worth-it chinese food i've eaten in Orlando. the stall tender was so cool, he gave me lots of rice when he knew we were from Singapore. hahas.

bought Krispy Kreme doughnuts. Rayner was having the cravings for this since that afternoon when we reached the mall.

look at the freshly baked original glazed doughnuts! i wish i could send some back to Singapore for...

yesterday's lunch with Chef Rayner before we head off to the last Mardi Gras. will update on Mardi Gras in the next blog post. seeya till then.

yeah! ice cream love! gwen teaches me a new way of eating ice cream- add in cookies! i put in my oatmeal cookies and it taste absolutely delicious!

ended work duper late today, 11pm. helped to pack up all strollers before leaving. was waiting at the bus stop alone where i talked to this guy. we sat at least a 1.5 metres apart while chatting. this is America, strangers may start talking to you; at the bus stop, on the bus, in a queue, etc. whereas in Singapore, if you do this, you might get a stern stare from others, thinking that you're crazy! lol.

today there's tornado warning at Orlando. during work it rained really heavily, super strong wind and Ang said there's hail! the clouds were like moving to one area. my colleagues say this is how tornadoes form. but luckily, it was cleared after an hour plus.

after work was shopping with Elspeth around the hood. bought quite a lot of things, cosmetics, papers, food sauces and presents for the kukus!

i met that casanova that Lissie told me today! he had clear blue eyes, sharp nose and thin lips. charming features but it all just seems so irritating to me.

yeap, that's my lunch for today! like the spaghetti the most, simply delicious. the ketchup sauce is super sweet with cheddar and mozarella cheese.

work today was monotonous first and got really busy towards the park closing time. loads of strollers flowed into our counter and flooded the pick-up point like nobody's business! cleaned them like mad till i end shift, there's still ike tons of strollers, wheelchairs and motorcars.

slacked at bistro till Tannya ends work at 11pm with stupid William's logic of Asian from China from Egypt from monkey and stone. -.-

ohh yeah and Ang got a freaky nightmare that involves me!
he called me along to go out of our apartment to find William. i was cold, so i brought my blanket along. he didnt know why, but i just walk really slow. tried to find William but to no avail, so he decided to just go home. was walking through the backgate (not the same as the one we really have here). the one in his dream was like near a forest with stone sairway leading to the gate. and beside these steps there are red incense candles that Chinese uses it to offer to the dead. every step i took, the candle beside it will be blown out. by the time i reaches the gate, Ang looks back, all the candles are blown out and i was no where to be found. when he reaches home he saw me on my bed, so he woke me up and asked me why i came back so fast and i replied..

it's freezing cold today, from the point i open the house door till now when all of us are back home. it's like 50 Fahrenheit which is like 10 degree Celsius. can you imagine it?! there's sun shining brightly but the wind is really unbearable.

my hands are numb.
if someone were to flick my ears i'm sure it's gonna drop.
if someone were to punch me in my face, i'll sure be disfigured with a broken nose!

work is the same, friendly colleagues but it was super busy today! guests are coming to the cashier counter non-stop since morning. total sales for my cashier only is already $6k plus! Express Plus tickets which allows you to skip the lines were SOLD OUT even though it was US$45.99 today! wth~ Kurt is a bully, he ate up 2 of my lunch breaks and today he held me back till 5pm though i'm suppose to leave at 430pm!

after work was wrapping under a hoodie jacket with Yang Ling at the bus stop as if we were a couple with her hands over my shoulder, cause it was seriously too cold and the bus seems to be taking a decade to arrive! but i actually kinda like this weather, cause my face is not a bit oily at all! ((:

had a birthday celebration surprise for Andrea and Yang Ling last night. we all sneak into their apartment together with this super big cake and woke them up!

the funny part was that Andrea woke up very fast but Yang Ling just cant bare to leave her dreamland. hahas. and she refused to get up!

by the time they finish blowing the cake, it was filled with candle wax. and what does the cake looks like after the wax is removed?

today's work was interesting.. helped out the turnstiles at the exit - something different. towards the end of my shift was called to do a witness for the investigator. some Indian woman stole some souvenirs at the store. security in Universal is really tight, they are always alert even though the park is closing. cool~

yesterday is the first day of being a Rental Attendant, no more Trainee! Mardi Gras was a blast. hell lot of people. Dave told me this morning that today will be worst, ohh my... many got to go watch the concert of Boys Like Girls and i've gotta work, argh. today too! it's Kelly Clarkson you know!! so they waited for us and we went home together, sweet!
